We offer luxurious B&B accommodation in a stunning farm location in Patterdale near Ullswater and Glenridding in the Lake District. We have one guest suite sleeping 3 offering couples and friends the chance to relax, unwind and enjoy.

Crookabeck B&B is on a working farm owned and lovingly managed by the Bell family for three generations and famous for its Angora Goats and Helvellyn Herdwick sheep. The farm has everything you’d expect - beautiful 17th Century farmhouse, chickens to supply your breakfast eggs, ducks, sheep, goats, our fell pony, the farm cats, our 2 dogs, Fly and Zaza and of course a superb setting in Patterdale ideal for walking, cycling, water sports or just relaxing. There is even a farm shop where you can buy a range of our Angora mohair and Herdwick wool products.

The local area around Patterdale is ideally placed for exploring the magnificent Lake District National Park. Crookabeck nestles under Place Fell, with a range of fells including Helvellyn, St Sunday Crag, Fairfield and many others just a short stride away. There are a host of walks quite literally straight from your door. We are also ideally situated for Wainwright’s Coast to Coast walk, being just 500 yards from the start of the “Patterdale” leg.

Ullswater, England’s most beautiful lake, is half a mile away and offers a wide variety of activities from sailing, fishing and windsurfing to enjoying the views from the Ullswater Steamers. Brotherswater is also just a short walk from the farm and offers a whole new level of peace and tranquility.

Patterdale and neighbouring Glenridding offer a range of local shops, a garage, cafes, pubs and hotels so you have everything you need for the perfect romantic break right on your doorstep. The nearest pub is a pleasant half a mile walk away, and we have an excellent local Post Office and Village Store.

Our Bed and Breakfast opened in October 2010 and our luxury B&B accommodation is equipped to provide you with everything you need for a fantastic stay. Your guest suite has its own front door for you privacy and comfort. The bedroom has a large double bed and a single bed so can work as a double, twin or triple room suitable for couples, families and friends, and has stylish furnishings and a large wardrobe. You have your own lounge with leather sofas and a large flat screen TV, as well a dining area with a sink, kettle and a supply of teas, coffees and biscuits if you get peckish in the evening.
